Bad Timing
We say
It’s been a whirlwind twelve months for the Oxford-born singer and multi-instrumentalist Rhys Lewis. Since we last featured him at the start of 2017, the 26-year-old has released a string of hit singles, including Wish I Was Sober (2m streams) and Be Your Man (8m streams) that have so far amassed over 20m combined streams, supported JP Cooper and James TW on their European tours, as well as announcing his second European headline tour after his first sold out. Released last week, Bad Timing is the gorgeous title track to his debut EP and tells the story of meeting and falling in love with someone at the wrong time. Tastemaker support has come from Napster and Spotify who featured the track on 14 New Music Friday playlists, as well as their Easy editorial playlist, plus don’t be surprised if you hear this on Radio 2 soon. Later this month he will be heading off to perform at SXSW and will be interviewed by Jo Whiley for Radio 2 at the festival. Bad Timing is another beautiful addition to his catalogue and shows again that he has an undeniable gift to capture emotions that will strike a chord with anyone.
