Danza de Gardenias is the lead track from Latin American superstar Natalia Lafourcade’s brand new album, Musas Vol. 2, released tomorrow. It’s a beautiful and captivating single with its Cuban-tinged melody and traditional instruments weaving a rich and luscious sound bed for Natalia’s emotive vocals. Co-written with Mexican composer David Aguilar and featuring veteran acoustic duo Los Macorinos, the track and indeed her new album, continues to explore the musical universe that she and the duo started in the album’s Latin Grammy-winning predecessor, Musas. The track has so far amassed over 780k YouTube views, and 800k Spotify plays (out of over 300m combined plays), as well as garnering international praise from the likes KCRW, NPR, Billboard and Rolling Stone. She kicks off her five-date European tour next Monday (12 February) at Koko in London before playing Le Bataclan in Paris and then three dates in Spain.
