A Wondrous Place of Our Own
We say
Delight in the widescreen sound of A Wondrous Place of Our Own by Liverpudlian singer songwriter Skelhorn. With Rootsy acoustic guitars and sweeping strings, it’s a song that seems to have been plucked from a slower, easier time. Skelhorn’s soulful voice draws comparison to a modern day Elvis and the whole song would fit neatly into the atmosphere of Twin Peaks or a Tarantino movie. Released this coming Friday, it's already attracting plays from Chris Hawkins (BBC Radio 2 and 6 Music) and is accompanied by a nostalgia-inducing short film, complete with a lost looking damsel and classic American motor. Making music since the age of 14, Skelhorn has performed in a variety of clubs and pubs across England’s North West and contributed to live broadcasts and roadshows on Radio Merseyside and Radio City. Now signed to delimusic, a multi-genre sync label representing a range of artists and writers, including Oscar winners and commercial artists. Skelhorn will be playing at London’s 100 Club on 26 April alongside new label mates Niteshifters and Annabel Bennett.
