Back at the end of 2016 we featured the supremely catchy debut track, Take It Or Leave It, from Midlands-born Emily Burns. The track was recorded at Abbey Road Studios during her downtime whilst working as a receptionist and has now clocked up over 315k plays on Spotify. Fast forward to 2018 and Emily is back with her first brand new material in a year, the sublime Bitch on 37 Adventures. Co-produced with artist/producer biLLy, the track is a modern and frank pop song about a previous relationship that blends delicious Scandipop-like production with a distinctly British attitude and vocal. Previous tastemaker support has come from Breaking More Waves, SBTV, Mahogany sessions and Radio 1 support from Greg James and Huw Stephens. She will be playing a gig at the Strongroom in Shoreditch tomorrow night (11 January) at 7pm and will follow this up with a Sofar Sounds session this Sunday in London. 2018 is looking very rosy indeed for Emily on evidence of this sublime track, so take a listen and check her out live if you can.
