The eerie, swirling synth opening and the gorgeous vocals of Samsaruh were all that was needed to hook us into this dreamy, future bass and electro-pop tune from 19-year-old Australian producer Ford Miskin. Do It Better also features Theophilus London, the Trinidadian mixtape artist who spits expertly crafted bars over the sun-bleached vibes. Tastemaker support has come from Clash who labelled him “Australia’s next dance sensation” as well as featuring on numerous Spotify’s New Music Friday playlists and being championed by Huw Stephens on BBC Radio 1 and on Triple J radio back in Oz. His previous releases have amassed nearly 1.5 million combined streams as the classically trained Bryon Bay native has been steadily building his profile over the last year. He has just returned from LA where he has been working on new material with producer Nick Audino (Rihanna, Ty Dolla $ign, DJ Mustard) so expect to hear new music in 2018, but for now just indulge in the sound of Ford Miskin.
