Back in April this year, we alerted you to London-based five-piece Curse Of Lono as they released their critically acclaimed debut album Severed. Fronted by former Hey Negrita vocalist and guitarist, Felix Bechtolsheimer, the band garnered praise for their harmony-laden Americana and alt rock from Mojo, Uncut, Louder than War and Classic Rock in the UK with Paste, Magnet, Under The Radar, college radio and many others following suit in the US. Their new single, Send For The Whiskey, released last Friday (27 October) to coincide with the start of their new 23-date European tour with Chuck Prophet is a beautiful, rousing alt rock gem with a warming, rootsy rhythmic feel that will lighten anyone’s day.
