Dance Sober
We say
South London-based singer songwriter Caswell first came to our attention back in September 2016 with her sublime electronic soul debut Fury. Since then she has released two further singles, Brother and Animal, with the latter clocking up over 400k streams on Spotify. Dance Sober is her latest offering and is the first single from her upcoming debut EP The Shadow Aspect. The song is a delicious slice of brooding pop with an upbeat melody and a slow burning groove that gets under the skin. Her bewitching vocals draws on Kate Bush, Nina Simone and Bjork influences to add a gorgeous jazz inflected tone to an immensely infectious tune. Tastemaker support has come from EQ Music, Wonderland, The Line Of Best Fit, Clash and many more, including radio plays from BBC Introducing Suffolk and Amazing Radio. She will be supporting Leyya at the Hoxton Square Bar tonight (October 9) and we recommend if you are free to pop down and bask in the glorious downtempo vibes that is Caswell.
