We alerted you to Bang Bang Romeo just ahead of their performance at The Great Escape in May, as we’d been privy to an early preview of this astonishing track from the Sheffield-based four-piece. We sensed that the reaction would be unanimous in its praise, especially for frontwoman Stars, aka 22-year old Anastasia Walker. Her voice is so rich and powerful here that when she lets rip on the chorus, you’ll realise she could already blow any established rock chick (or indeed chap) right off any stage anywhere in the world right now. Radio X’s This Feeling have made this their Record of the Week, Absolute and Virgin are playing it too, and Huw Stephens and Tom Robinson are already fans. The classy big-budget video stars Ralph Ineson, best known as Finchy in The Office and as Dagmer Cleftjaw in Game Of Thrones, appearing alongside Royal Ballet star Olivia Roach. Ahead of UK tour dates this October, catch them in London at Sebright Arms this Thursday evening (July 27). Dramatic, dynamic and totally compelling, this is world-class British rock at its finest. What a stunning song.
