Frustrated
We say
Combining soul, R&B and electronic music in one creative three-minute burst, Reggie Williams goes by the alias of R.LUM.R and has created a truly impressive genre-busting track here. When he was a kid, he absorbed greats like Sade, Anita Baker and George Benson from his mother's music collection. You’ll hear all of those influences shine through, along with his own favourites from back when he attended college, including Sneaker Pimps, Prince, Maxwell and Massive Attack. This smart and savvy blend has won him praise from Rolling Stone, The Sunday Times, New York Times, Wonderland and VEVO DSCVR, who recently featured him as a spotlight artist. There’s now much anticipation for his Jimmy Kimmel performance on August 2. Annie Mac and Mistajam at Radio 1 are fans too and, having already topped more than 19 million Spotify plays for this track alone, R.LUM.R finally makes his UK debut tonight (July 20) in London with a show at Sebright Arms at 8.30. Taken from his forthcoming EP AFTERIMAGE, this outstanding slow-jam is just the beginning of his deserved ascent to superstardom.
