Released today (June 2) and about to hit radio and TV in a very big way this weekend, with high rotation already confirmed across the Capital network playlist, and a performance on this Saturday night’s Britain’s Got Talent final on ITV, this is the long-awaited debut single from 5 After Midnight. Kieran, Jordan and Nathan formed the group just five weeks before the start of 2016’s X Factor, eventually landing a place in the last three during the final. The songs they performed on the show have racked up more than a million Spotify streams, and they’ve achieved over ten million YouTube views to date. This strong, confident summer R&B pop banger has its sights set on worldwide success, ticking every box along the way as it drives its way into your head and onto every essential feel-good playlist in the coming months. The song was written by MNEK and Raye, based around an old DMX sample, and sets up their debut album, due this autumn. By the time they perform this at Capital’s Summertime Ball at Wembley on June 10, we confidently expect it’ll already be making a huge impact.
