Never Change
We say
Irish duo Picture This have a busy few days ahead with a sold-out gig at Brixton’s Electric Ballroom tonight (May 18) before arriving in Brighton for a couple of shows at The Great Escape on Saturday. It’s two years since Ryan and Jimmy first emerged with their self-released song Take My Hand becoming a viral smash, stacking up over two million Spotify streams and 1.9 million YouTube views. Last year’s self-titled five-track EP helped them land a major global deal and things grew further, with more than 30,000 gig tickets sold across the UK and Ireland. Having just completed their debut full length album in Nashville, due for release later in the summer, they’re also gearing up for big UK festival shows including Reading & Leeds, Dot To Dot, Citadel and others. Their acoustic guitar-based sound is cleverly built to push all your emotional buttons and that's perfectly demonstrated on this anthemic track. A Saturday afternoon gig (May 20) at Komedia is followed by an evening show at The Hope & Ruin as part of TGE. But arenas and stadiums beckon next for these boys, just you watch.
