Morning Yawn
We say
Kieran, Samuel and Toby are Febueder (pronounced Fe-byou-der), three young guys, all in the early-20s, who hail from Ascot in Berkshire. They’ve been making music together since their teens, and this fabulous song is the first single from their latest five-track EP, titled From An Album. Since they first came to the attention of tastemaker blogs and publications including The Line of Best Fit, GoldFlakePaint, DIY and NME among others, they’ve continually pushed themselves to create music that belies their youthfulness. Their sound is a mature, sophisticated take on what’s happening within the UK alternative scene today. You’ll hear influences including '70s US west coast sounds permeate this rousing song, particularly with the instrumentation, including a cool, laid-back chugging guitar line that sets the tone for it all. The whole EP is hugely ambitious in its style and substance. You’ll see what we mean when you catch them perform at their EP launch show in London at The Finsbury on June 1. We can't think of any other young British band making music quite as smart as this right now.
