Full Circle
We say
Eight years have passed since Sarah Whatmore stepped out of the musical spotlight to raise a family. She’d been a former Pop Idol star with the Top 10 hit When I Lost You under her belt, and went on to eventually release her debut album Time To Think before deciding to leave the business. Now she’s back and this song is the title track to her EP that relaunches her once more. Recorded in Surrey over the past two years, Sarah’s been working with the Ivor Novello Award-winning songwriter and producer Rob Davis, the man behind Spiller’s still brilliant Groovejet and Kylie’s iconic Can’t Get You Out Of My Head. It was co-written by X Factor star Laura White, whom she met by chance on a train. Twenty songs were written for the project, exploring universal themes like life, love and loss, and Sarah’s favourite five made the final cut for the EP. If you’re in Manchester tonight (March 23) there’s a showcase launch at The Whiskey Jar. This is a quality pop production, expertly executed, from a team with an unquestionable pedigree for creating global hit records. Welcome back, girl.
