Evari Kosam (For Who's Sake)
We say
Great music is made everywhere in the world. Language is no barrier when you hear a song that offers some emotional or melodic connection. Alluri is a musician from Hyderabad who’s impossible to categorise, but his music is as grand and euphoric as anything you’d find from Arcade Fire. Classical music was absorbed in his teens then he learnt guitar whilst listening to acts like Doves and Morrissey during his UK studies. Now relocated to the UK, he’s worked with Muse producer/mixer Tommasso Colliva and Italian musician Massimo Martelotta on this powerful and unique song. Q, NME and the Times Of India, Subcltr London, Smashed Vinyl, Fame Magazine, Gigslutz, and Bestival co-founder Rob da Bank have all shown support so far. A former BBC Asian Network Track Of The Week, Alluri has an upcoming interview with Ashanti Omkar on the station, major UK festival shows lined up and a London gig this Tuesday (February 28) at Servant Jazz Quarters. The song is sung in Telegu, one of India’s native languages. But we believe this deserves an audience of the wildest possible tastes. It's a mighty tune.
