Hey Girl
We say
London-based singer-songwriter Robbie Boyd released his debut album So Called Man three years ago and caught the attention of many key names at radio including Graham Norton, Jeremy Vine and Paul O’Grady at Radio 2, Dave Gorman on his Absolute Radio show, and with Chris Hawkins and Tom Robinson at 6Music. He’s supported the likes of Jack Savoretti, The Kooks, Mark Ronson, Suggs, McFly and The Feeling among others, and he’s had his own sold-out shows too at venues including Bush Hall, The Garage, Jazz Cafe and The Borderline. He's even co-written a song with Kinks legend Ray Davies. Currently grafting way on a European tour, he performs later this year across America, Scandinavia, Australia and back to the UK. With a sound that’s influenced by his writing experiences in Nashville, this is the first catchy offering from his upcoming Break The Chain, and it’s an instantly likeable acoustic pop song that's free from any pretence. In these confused, troubled times we face on a daily basis, great upbeat nuggets of joy like this always find a keen audience. And deservedly so.
