Aqualung
We say
Back in August, we featured the devilishly-catchy Bonfire by Swedish performer and songwriter Linda Carlsson, alias Miss Li. Now she’s back with this latest taster from her as-yet-untitled upcoming album, which she’s currently putting the finishing touches to, and it’s her first since Wolves reached No.2 on the Swedish album chart back in 2013. Co-written with Marli Harwood, whose credits include Kygo’s massive track Stole The Show amongst others, it’s another confident slice of Nordic pop that’s built for global appeal. It was premiered at Sweden’s national radio award show P3 Guld over the weekend, and it sees her re-emergence continue after taking time away from the spotlight as a solo star to write for other artists. She’ll be touring Scandinavia during the spring and summer months and although no London dates are confirmed yet, we understand a small showcase gig could be on the cards if it can be worked into her schedule. We’d love to see her in the UK, as she’s such a charismatic artist, and this dramatic Sia-esque song fully deserves to be her international breakthrough.
