Graceland
We say
We’ve featured Marc O’Reilly in the past, most memorably with his superb song Bleed, which has racked up more than 600,000 Spotify streams to date in Germany. We’re sure you’ll be impressed with this latest track from him, one that’s wonderfully stealth-like in its sound, and full of atmosphere with the dark mood it conjures up. It’s a great introduction if you’re somehow new to the work of this Irish artist, and comes from his album Morality Mortality. The personal song deals with a relationship gone wrong, where happy memories of good times in the past meant that he was unable to see how dysfunctional things had become. Marc’s built up a loyal following in many territories, thanks to extensive touring off the back of showcases at Eurosonic and Reeperbahn festivals and shows with the Folk Alliance in the US. A European tour is lined up for April including dates here in the UK where he, somewhat remarkably, he remains unsigned despite deals in place elsewhere. A great talent, cracking songs, a hugely impressive live following - by rights, global-wide success is his for the taking next.
