Premiered last month on Pete Tong’s Radio 1 show, this excellent track by Montreal producers Paris & Simo sounds like the start of something huge for them. Their September hometown gig marked the beginning of a new direction, showcasing a softer-edged dance sound, moving them away from their previous work with the likes of Tiesto, David Guetta and Hardwell. Vocals come from 18-year old FINNEAS, lead singer/songwriter with LA's The Slightlys, who’ve built up a strong local following and plays on the prestigious KCRW radio station. He’s joined by Gabrielle Current, a professional model and musician whom FINNEAS has recently produced. Together, their voices blend perfectly on this track, telling of promises we make to one another when we fall in love, but doubts that the other half of the relationship often has that they’re sincere. Kiss FM and SiriusXM have been playing the track, Martin Garrix has supported it across his radio shows and Spotify playlists, and UK gigs are upcoming in February as part of a 20-date world tour. Beautifully chilled pop, this deserves to be enormous.
