We say

A glance down the list of France's most Shazamed acts worldwide in 2016 reveals that 24-year old Jain sits in amongst more familiar names like DJ Snake, David Guetta and Kungs. She's charmed audiences across France, Poland, Italy, Germany and Belgium, going gold and platinum after signing a major deal with Sony last year. You may have caught her at The Great Escape in May where her engaging, bouncy performance set blogs alight, all queueing up to heap praise on her. The recent release of her album Zanaka saw The Sunday Times and Guardian follow suit, following more superb reviews of her September gig in London at The Lexington. She’s back playing here at The Garage this coming Monday (December 5) and drops into Radio 4’s Loose Ends on December 9. This track has already racked up 8 million Spotify plays and Jain will pick up France’s EBBA (European Border Breakers Award) trophy 2017 at Eurosonic in January. Blending tribal rhythms and cultural influences from around the globe with pulsing synth basslines, Makeba is a wonderfully irresistible musical treat.
