Belgian electronic four-piece GOOSE are beloved in the native land, and this title track from their latest album helped propel it straight to No.1 there. Recorded in California with producer Jason Faulkner (formerly a member of the brilliant Jellyfish, and noted for his collaborative work with Ariel Pink, Beck and Air), it'll be released here in the UK in the spring. The group’s friends and peers include Soulwax and Aeroplane, and they’ve remixed tracks for acts including Daft Punk, White Lies and Scissor Sisters. They’ve also long been involved in Belgium’s avant-garde fashion scene, created and ran multimedia installations over the past decade, and are now being properly recognised internationally as a creative force to be reckoned with. Remixes come from Digitalism and Mumbai Science, and the song was recently premiered by The Independent with the video being seen first through i-D online. This is stylish, edgy dance music with a euphoric hands-in-the-air feel making it hugely accessible, but cleverly maintaining a cool distance over most other EDM we hear these days.
