We say
Edinburgh quartet Indigo Velvet are solidly growing their fanbase, thanks to an engaging sound and instantly likeable songs such as this. It all began in 2013 when the lads formed a high school band and now, having all just turned 20, they’re winning plaudits through a confident live sound that builds on their early word-of-mouth buzz. It’s been a good year with press coverage including Scotland On Sunday, Metro, Clash, The Skinny and The Sun, radio play from Vic Galloway and Janice Forsyth at BBC Scotland, and Radio 1 during their T In The Park coverage. They’ve racked up over 150,000 Spotify plays with recent track Easy Love getting the key focus to date, and this latest release comes via Spinnup, a subsidiary of Universal that signs up bands with a view to involving them in the label-wide A&R process. Currently playing UK-wide dates, including a recent Sofar Sounds session in London, and with an Amazing Radio session today (November 14), their music offers a distinctive, offbeat take on much of the output of their peers, and this free-spirited song fully deserves your attention.
