All At Once
We say
Jack Carty will be familiar to you if you follow the Aussie indie scene. This acoustic singer-songwriter from New South Wales has been critically-acclaimed since he emerged in 2009, but we feel the latest album Home State contains his finest work to date. Telling tales of love and domestic bliss, it topped the indie AIR charts this summer. He's discovered his creative zen by producing, recording and performing every instrument himself, with the exception of the bass courtesy of his longtime collaborator Gus Gardiner. The completed record was mixed by award-winning producer Jimi Maroudas, who’s given the songs such a lovely warm feel. Jack’s just completed six dates in the UK which included London’s Slaughtered Lamb and the North Dorset Folk Festival, where this new material was warmly received. Recently married, and bubbling with confidence, All At Once serves as a wonderfully catchy introduction to his work if you’re yet to discover him. Accomplished, expressive and honest, he fully deserves the mainstream attention that should surely come his way with this.
