Honey
We say
Clocking in at a swift minute and 58 seconds, Bryde returns with a punchy track that sets things up nicely for her forthcoming EP, due next month. It’s produced with urgency and attack by Coral co-founder Bill Ryder-Jones. We previously featured her back in May with her impressive Help Yourself signalling to us that she was a no-nonsense force to be reckoned with as a singer-songwriter displaying commitment and passion. Hailing from Wales but based in London, this year has seen her move away from her previous band Paper Aeroplanes and find much love for her solo work with Huw Stephens at Radio 1 being a key supporter. He played this track on Monday night's show, and she's on the bill for his co-curated Swn Festival in Cardiff later this month, It was also recently featured by The Line Of Best Fit and previous support has come from Tom Robinson at 6Music, Earmark and Nylon. She plays a gig at London’s Courtyard Theatre in Shoreditch on October 13 as part of her UK headline tour. As winter approaches, this feels like a powerful and vital breath of fresh air.
