Oblivion
We say
We're delighted to see singer-songwriter Olivia Sebastianelli recently getting the attention she deserves. After featuring her excellent Lighting Fires in March, she played The Great Escape and we heard the song picked up by Huw Stephens at Radio 1. Now she’s one of eight acts up for the new ANCHOR Award this Saturday night (September 24), selected by a jury that includes the legendary Tony Visconti, who will choose the Best New International Artist at the Reeperbahn Festival. Olivia’s already received Spotify New Music Friday playlists across Europe and the UK that's generated over 100,000 plays, solid love from The Sunday Times Culture section, BBC Introducing, Amazing Radio, The 405, Metro and Notion, and supported the likes of John Newman, James TW, Borns and Nina Nesbitt. She's back in London on Tuesday (September 27) at Hoxton Bar & Kitchen, and there’s a Communion show at Notting Hill Arts Club on October 2. Take note, as this dramatic, self-penned electro-ballad from the forthcoming EP Take Control shows she’s becoming a world-class prospect.
