So often recently, we've mentioned that Scandi songwriters are the best in the world right now for crafting killer pop moments that transcend national borders and become proper global hits. This ridiculously-brilliant song from Miss Li has all of those qualities. It’s a decade since she first burst onto the scene with her Swedish No.1 single Oh Boy, which stayed on top for two months. After spending last year writing for other artists including hot new US star Phoebe Ryan, she’s back and her re-emergence has caused a bit of a label signing frenzy there. Last weekend, she previewed her first new material in three years at Stockholm’s Olympic Stadium opening up for much-loved domestic star Veronica Maggio. The album is coming in March 2017 and on this evidence it promises to be an absolute delight. Seemingly frothy and throw-away, it's a tune that was written during the incredibly dark winter earlier this year and deals lyrically with depression. But that’s what we love about it. Full of optimism in the face of adversity, this warm Bonfire glow will light up all of our dark days ahead.
