We’ve been keen supporters of James Vincent McMorrow since 2010, when he’d just released his excellent debut album Early In the Morning. We followed him though the LP Post Tropical right up to the exceptional You Know for the expanded edition in late 2014. So we’re delighted that he’s back with this beautiful song that grows and grows in stature every time you play it. His third album We Move comes in a few weeks, after what’s been an incredible 2016 so far. He’s now topped 100m streams for his music, been sampled by Drake on the world-conquering Views, and teamed up with Kygo too. Launched as Annie Mac’s Hottest Record recently, additional Radio 1 support has come from Clara Amfo and Greg James, as well as Jo Whiley and Dermot O’Leary at Radio 2, Lauren Laverne at 6 Music and the team at Radio X. Next comes a 17-date European tour that stops by London’s Roundhouse on October 17. Loving crafted, forward-thinking and confident, this is modern electro-soul music that reveals more of itself to any listener who's smart enough to welcome it into their life.
