Dance For Me
We say
Getting you primed and ready for the Carnival season, and already bubbling up across Europe this summer, this great track from Eugy and Mr. Eazi has been an A List track at BBC Radio 1Xtra for eight solid weeks now and has been championed by influential TV music channel AKA. Ras Kwame at Capital Xtra and the teams at Kiss TV and radio are on it too, and this initial early exposure has meant it’s now sitting just outside the Shazam UK Top 100. Basically, it’s a celebration of the Ashanti dance ‘Alkayida’, the next massive Ghanian dance craze following one from Fuse ODG taking the Azonto into the mainstream over the past year. Whilst fans wait for the proper video to arrive, two others (one teaching the dance moves, and another featuring just the audio track) have achieved nearly 9.4m YouTube views between them. Mr. Eazi and friends have already played a sold-out gig at London’s Kentish Town Forum a couple of weeks ago, so you can sense there’s something big brewing here. Infectious and uplifting, it could be this summer's Cheerleader-esque crossover smash.
