We say

Dove House are a young five-piece band who are based in Brighton. This is their debut single (currently free to download from their Soundcloud page) and it’s a bit of gem, neatly produced without flash or pretence by their friend Alex Cassin. Beginning with an attention-grabbing guitar hook and synth motif, 20-year old frontman Jack Peacock’s Edwyn Collins-esque vocals then cut through, as does the quality of his lyrics, providing a bit of social commentary many young fans will instantly relate to. Three of the lads were at school together then met the other two at college, and they’ve been getting early support from BBC Introducing via Radio Sussex and Radio Surrey, James Fox at their local station Juice 107.2, and other tastemakers involved in the vibrant scene in the town. Naturally it’s very early days for the band but there’s definitely something here that points towards good things for the future. Their live reputation is already building strongly and we hope to see them play London dates soon. Right now, this song is a great start. Next, prepare to watch them fly.
