Sparks
We say
With three lads fresh out of uni and another still in his late teens, young Leicestershire-based hopefuls The Tin Pigeons are currently unsigned, but have already made their way onto Radio 1’s BBC Introducing playlist this week. They originally formed in 2011 whilst still schoolkids but have transformed into a tight live act with a cool folk-tinged indie edge, taking their cue from acts like Noah & The Whale and Bombay Bicycle Club. This upbeat title track from their third EP was recorded in a woodland cabin with their producer Alex Oldroyd. After gigging relentlessly in the past 18 months, they arrive in London (supporting Daniel Duke) this Thursday evening (June 9) at the Finsbury, before heading off for summer dates that include Boardmasters in Cornwall and Secret Garden Party. Telling the story of how your life can suddenly flip around when that special someone crosses your path, it’s a sunshine-infused track with a catchy chorus that’s destined to sound great when performed outdoors, nice cold pint in your hand and your best mate by your side, we reckon. Bring it on.
