Nina Schofield is a talented British singer-songwriter and performer who’s set to release her album Shapes next month with this featured track as its first single. Her soul is laid bare lyrically as she tells the tale of a sociopath who haunted her with his unrequited love interest, causing much angst and hassle along the way. She’s classically trained, as you’ll hear from her soaring range on the song, with a degree from the Academy of Contemporary Music. Recently she’s performed at The Great Escape and has also been touring with The Sons Of Pitches, the winners of BBC TV’s Naked Choir contest, playing in session at many BBC local and commercial stations along the way. She’s written and worked with several acclaimed dance production teams as featured vocalist on tracks from Aurosonic and Frainbreeze plus Vintage & Morelli amongst others. Her recent single Restart was chosen as the anthem for World Voice Day back in April. So, all in all, her profile continues to grow and this is pure unashamed mid-tempo pop, something that seems oddly refreshing in the current musical landscape.
