Do You Know How To Fall
We say
After playing his first-ever London show in front of a packed-out audience at Union Chapel at the end of 2015, Greek musician Theodore continues to enthral us here with this incredible track. It comes from his debut album It Is But It’s Not, which is set for release on June 17. He’s a singer, songwriter and multi-instrumentalist whose influences are eclectic and range from Pink Floyd and Radiohead at one end of the scale through to traditional folk at the other. The 23-year old dabbles in composing music for the theatre too, and was even commissioned to write a score for a 1928 Buster Keaton silent comedy, which he completed in less than ten days and then performed it with his band in a live setting of the stunning Temple Of Zeus in Athens. As you’ll gather, we’re looking at a prodigious talent here. And it shines through so brightly on this song that’s filled with emotion, atmosphere, drama and you could imagine it slotting nicely into the running order on OK Computer. Lavish, ambitious and grandiose, we think you won’t hear else anything quite as instantly striking this year.
