We say
Dance à la Plage met through a music practice course at Leamington College back in 2011 and hail originally from Oxford. Over the past couple of years, they’ve supported bands and artists including The 1975, Coasts and Professor Green, have made in roads into the UK iTunes Top 20 Alternative Chart with their EPs A Short Stay At Clarence Pier and Flying High, performed at numerous festivals including Cornbury and BeachBreak Live and are now ready to take things to the next level. With over 750,000 YouTube streams and 500k Spotify plays to date, there’s clearly a loyal, growing base of followers for the lads. Their sound is energetic sunshine-filled guitar-pop initially inspired by acts like Two Door Cinema Club, Foals and Little Comets but now is imbued with their own distinctive twist after earning their chops as a tight live act. This coming Tuesday (April 12), they play at The Garage in London, and a BBC Oxford Introducing session is confirmed for April 23. Currently on the lookout for label, publishing and management interest, DALP show here they're poised and fully deserve success.
