Peaches And Bleach
We say
We first featured south-west London five-piece The Carnabys back in September 2014 with the track Is That My Body. At the time, they were all still in their teens but had already impressed us with their confidence and spirit. With a new album for release this August, the first single is a tight and punchy guitar anthem that’s exactly the sort of thing that we Brits do best. Lyrically the song explores the paradox of the word ‘perfect’, describing something that’s been honed and shaped to be just right but gets screwed up by someone who tried to make it even better, yet ultimately failed. The lads are getting more and more accomplished live and you’ll soon be able to see why so many of the acts they’ve supported (including heavyweights like Blondie and Springsteen) have praised them. With plays previously across Absolute, RTE, BBC London and BBC Introducing , watch them take things to the next level with sets at The Borderline in London on March 24, a Sofar Sounds gig on May 1 and both the Camden Rocks and Isle of Wight festivals in June. This song is gutsy, youthful and energetic.
