Right Place Right Time
We say
Bristol three-piece BOA first came to attention at the end of last year with their debut single Holier. Hugely-supported by tastemaker blogs including Noisey and The Line Of Best Fit, it notched up more than 100,000 streams in less than three months, and now comes an excellent track that’s destined to push the lads further. This fabulous slice of dream pop comes from their debut EP which is due in May through London indie label Hand In Hive. Written and produced by the band themselves, the perfect radio-friendly sound has been mixed by their new collaborator Geoff Swann, who’s worked with Jess Glynne, Ed Sheeran and Fickle Friends. With much love already from Radio 1, BBC Introducing and 6Music (who included them on the bill of their recent Fringe Festival), live shows in the coming months include London gigs on March 17 at The Garage in Islington and at The Barfly in Camden on March 29 (with another hotly-tipped act Kyko) then a Great Escape performance in Brighton this May. Sounding cool and chilled, don’t be surprised if this becomes everyone’s soundtrack to the summer.
