With a timeless quality track here that instantly stands up to repeated listens, three-piece X&Y are already charming many key tastemaker blogs and the music press. Q Magazine recently featured this lead song from the group’s debut self-release EP Experience X as their Track of the Day. The Line Of Best Fit, Clash, Digital Spy and When The Gramophone Rings have all been shouting their praise too. We echo that love. Co-written and produced by Tinashe Fazakerley and Anu Pillai, this is superbly-crafted radio pop with mass appeal. The lads are aged 21 and 22 but there’s a great maturity to their sound and a keen understanding of what makes a simply great track. Several of their songs made a splash on Hype Machine last summer and they’ve since paired up with lots of accomplished pop writers to help take their music to the next level. See them perform live at Music Week's Radar showcase night Radar this Thursday (February 25) in London at Under The Bridge. Nick Jonas or Shawn Mendes woud be proud to put their name to a tune like this. It's very good indeed.
