From the very first note, you’ll be hooked by this impressive track from emerging artist Robyn Sherwell. Produced by David Kosten (noted for his work with Everything Everything and Bat For Lashes among many others), it’s a slick, polished radio-friendly sound with a driving bassline underpinning a perfectly restrained but thoroughly engaging vocal that you can feel was inspired by some of her favourite artists like Sia, Stevie Nicks and Imogen Heap. Robyn’s already been supported strongly in the past with her previous two singles and EPs getting much deserved love from Lauren Laverne at 6 Music, Huw Stephens at Radio 1 and Jo Whiley at Radio 2 (who broadcast a session from her last autumn and is already playing this latest track). Her first UK headline tour ends in London at the Hoxton Bar & Kitchen on March 23, just as the album is released. With four million Spotify plays across her work to date, Robyn continues to make grown-up quality pop that simply craves to be played, loved and cherished around the world. Give this the full attention it richly deserves.
