Eighteen-year old Swedish singer Zara Larsson is already a familiar name to most with her superb MNEK collaboration Never Forget You still riding high in the UK Top 20 this week after more than three months of chart action. Now comes her proper solo breakthrough, and it’s already racked up some enviable stats around the world - five-times platinum in Sweden, over 115m global Spotify streams, 32m video views and 1.7m Shazam tags. A top 5 single in Germany, Netherlands, Sweden, Norway, Denmark, Switzerland, Austria and Belgium, the single is serviced to UK media today (January 15), having just entered Spotify’s UK Top 40 chart last week and amassing two million UK Spotify streams already. Zara will be the support act at Rudimental’s big London gig at the O2 Arena on March 3. This is pure cool Scandi pop with killer laser-precision hooks. Straight out of the blocks with barely a fortnight of the new year behind us, you’ll be hard pressed to find a more-instantly infectious and likeable smash for the rest of 2016, we suspect.
