Dream In Colour
We say
Taken from her debut album Diamond In The Dust, this latest track from Purdy is a retro-tinged slice of melancholy. With a gorgeous soulful and jazzy feel, it’s also reminiscent of many of the great mid-60’s girl-group songs that were filled heartbreak, regret, loss and loneliness. We’ve featured this lady twice before including her great track Bye Bye Love earlier this year, and now she’s supporting Jools Holland on his latest tour, taking in London’s mighty Royal Albert Hall this Friday evening (November 27) before performing her own gig at The Kenton Theatre in Henley On Thames on December 6. The track has already been supported by Paul O’Grady on his Radio 2 Sunday evening show and we also recommend you take a look at her recent MOBO TV live session which includes a brilliant cover The Lovecats by The Cure. If you’re a fan of Paloma Faith' smoother side or even Lana Del Rey (whom she once supported at a gig on Richard Branson’s Necker Island), this fascinating artist remains one that you’ll always find yourself also wanting to come back to.
