With the lead single from their four-track EP Fires, These Your Children are Nottingham-based singer-songwriting duo Rebeka Prance and Joe Baxter. We instantly fell in love with this tune as well as the title song, both of which combine some beautiful harmonies, a vibe that hints at atmospheric African freedom songs, and an overall feel of passionate storytelling that uplifts you right from the start. It’s intimate and welcoming throughout. To date, there’s been solid support from tastemaker press and blogs including The 405, Killing Moon and Notion, plus BBC Introducing via Dean Jackson in the East Midlands, and you can expect them to shine at their forthcoming live dates, their first of which will launch their EP in their hometown at Nottingham’s Bodega on November 18. Then they’ll play in London at St Pancras Old Church, in association with Mahogany, a week later on November 25. Their live Mahogany Sessions is also set to debut soon.
