We say

Pleasure Beach formed in Belfast from a variety of musical backgrounds but all with one shared desire to make just great songs. We reckon it’s that blended mix of influences and genres which make this track, taken from their debut EP titled Dreamer To The Dawn, sound so good. Retro leanings, a keen melodic ear and an invigorating energy present from the very first squelchy bass synth sounds, it pushes along vocally, dripping in that kind of echoey production sound we’ve adored from Phil Spector, The Beach Boys, through Jesus & Mary Chain and beyond. When the song initially debuted, tastemaker blogs including The Line Of Best Fit jumped aboard to declare how great it was and it racked up 50,000 Soundcloud plays as the word spread. The band arrive in London for their first- ever shows here at Notting Hill Arts Club on November 1 and Hoxton Bar & Kitchen on November 5 as part of Community Festival. Already playlisted at Today FM in Ireland and with support from Radio X and both Phil Taggart at Radio 1 and Tom Ravenscroft at 6Music, this five-piece is rightfully hot.
