It’s now a couple of months since we last featured soulful UK hip hop trio Bakery Boys with their great track Get Away. That found favour at MTV Base and as Track of the Week at 1Xtra, and this latest song sees the boys collaborate once more with Locks Laser and Mensa Hart from indie band The Thirst (Locks being the brother of Shack and Ace from the Bakery Boys). Focusing lyrically on a positive, aspirational message of aiming high, stretching yourself and reaching towards your ambitions in life, it’s taken from their forthcoming mixtape Holla At A Baker, which is due soon. Also, it’s the title track from their latest EP and their work continues to impress us no end. Self-taught and with a clear vision of the sound and persona they want to present, the lads are rightly keen to keep full creative control over all aspects of their output, from the writing to the production and visuals. Their own Justin Hustlin fashion line has been a huge success as has their work with local community organisations. Street-smart, cool and musically uplifting, they're great British ambassadors for their genre.
