Now here’s a rather exciting new find. Shauna Tohill and Collette Williams are the young London-based duo REWS and this energetic guitar-driven track charges along with a rock solid melody throughout. Both girls already have tons of industry experience to back up their latest ambitions. Shauna wrote and performed a song called Can’t Keep Up with her former band Silhouette, which was synced on the extensive Discover Northern Ireland TV ad campaign far and wide for two years. She’s toured as vocalist with Snow Patrol and bass player for Darwin Deez. Six months ago, she met her musical partner Collette (who’s currently drumming in the new Gabrielle Aplin video, no less), and they instantly clicked as writers and musicians. You can tell on the very first listen of this track. That crucial pop sensibility is there, along with instant likeability and a keen eye on mainstream success. Currently looking for interest at labels, publishers and live agents, this song is an exuberant first step.
