After featuring Leo Kalyan in June with Fingertips from his debut EP Silver Linings, we’re delighted that he’s back with his most confident song yet. He’s a young British artist we’ve followed closely in the Compass section of our weekly magazine and things are gathering pace. Fingertips saw huge support at 1Xtra and Kiss Fresh, as well as at Radio 1, Capital Xtra and Rinse. Now the love continues for this song, and the buzz spreads internationally with plays with plays from KCRW and further support at college radio, P3 in Norway and FluxFM in Germany. With over 1.5m Spoitfy streams under his belt to date and almost three million on Soundcloud, this new track consolidates everything he’s achieved so far. It's top-notch R&B pop that’s superbly self-produced and executed, so much so that if we told you this was from The Weeknd’s current album, you’d be falling over yourself to declare its brilliance. With press features in Fader, Idolator, VMagazine, Complex UK & US, Clash, Music Week and Hunger (shot by Rankin) and a London headline show at The Courtyard on November 10, his deserved time in the spotlight is approaching very fast indeed.
