20-year old artist Lauren Aquilina may already be familiar to some of you. To date, she’s headlined the Radio 1 Introducing stage at Reading and Leeds, written and self-released two EPs titled Fools and Sinners (the former of which became a big favourite with Taylor Swift, who then invited Lauren to be her support act at Hyde Park this summer) and last year’s Liars EP made inroads both here in the UK and for her in America, where it featured on several Billboard charts. Next, she performs live in London at Bush Hall on October 28. This featured track comes from her latest EP Ocean and was premiered yesterday (September 20) by Cel Spellman on his Radio 1 show. It’s beautifully stripped-back, letting her voice shine through, and produced with vast space to breathe. Then in the final third, it builds to a glorious climactic rush as drums crash in and emotions run high. Displaying raw inner feelings throughout, it'll stop you in your tracks when you first hear it.
