Last time we featured Portsmouth lass Jerry Williams was in the run-up to her appearance at this year’s Great Escape in Brighton back in May, with the gorgeous Bolt From The Blue. We were delighted to see a packed venue, with much interest across the industry from those who attended the show and now one of her standout compositions has been given a glossy, funked-up makeover as the title song to her latest EP. Co-produced by Dan Brown at Skylight Studios in Bristol, the added sheen takes this great track into mainstream radio territory, we reckon. Since the spring, she’s supported Nathan Sykes on his sold-out UK tour, played the main stage at Wilderness, supported Rixton at Thorpe Park and performed showcase gigs for ASCAP, Mahogany Music Club and Gold Dust. Next, she launches the EP in London tomorrow night (August 20) at The Barfly and you’ll see why we continue to have such faith in her ability to become a great global star; charming, witty, intelligent and hugely-likeable with punter-friendly songs you can relate to. Let's drink to that.
