We say

We had this all lined-up to feature before both us and the label then got an added surprise on Tuesday when Zane Lowe played it on his Beats 1 launch show. 21-year old Elliot Moss hails from upstate New York and is set to release his debut album Highspeeds in the UK this Autumn. Already drawing comparisons to James Blake and Jamie xx, it follows on from praise and endorsement via Spin and The Fader when it came out in the US earlier this year. Pulling influences from the worlds of electronica, ambient soundscapes and even free-form jazz, Moss threw himself into making music as a way of coping when many from his social circle left college, headed off traveling or simply moved away. The results are stunning, even spine-tingling at times. It led choreographer and filmmaker Philip Chbeeb to create his own unofficial visual accompaniment for the track which went viral last week via Buzzfeed, Metro, MTV and Nylon, racking up over 21 million Facebook views. He’ll bring his live show to Britain for a few dates around the album release here. Beautiful, moving and throughly chilled, this is a rare and magical find you'll want to instantly cherish.
