The Nordic knack for conjuring up perfect pop continues unabated with this cracking song from Norwegian singer-songwriter Christina Skaar. Signed to Warner Chappell Scandinavia, Christina started performing when she was just three years old in local talent competitions before writing her first song aged six. During her teenage years, she sang vocals on several successful commercial house tracks for Oslo’s Ground Rules Production team. Then in 2011, she was hand-picked by production wizards Stargate to join them in New York on a artistry masterclass. That was the catalyst she needed for her deciding that she should become a solo act and this is her debut single as an artist in her own right. As ever with Scandi pop, it’s brilliantly-constructed song with instant appeal that’s designed to work big on a global level. She’s be visiting the UK for a promo tour starting on July 14. We’re suckers for radio-friendly tunes like this and it deserves to be huge everywhere.
