Hot Spots
We say
Think of every strong female-fronted dance track from the 1990’s that you adored back in the day from the likes of Robin S, Ce Ce Peniston and Ultra Nate, all blended into one tasty gem for 2015. Thought that sort of thing weren’t possible anymore? Try this absolute treat from Andriah Arrindell. Her pedigree as a vocalist is impressive. A one-time member of the London Community Gospel Choir and backing singer for Shola Ama, over the years she’s supported De La Soul, worked with Julian Lennon, performed with Madonna at Live 8 and appeared on stage with Aretha Franklin amongst many others. Production comes from acclaimed Afrobeat songwriter Whytepatch. A-listed by the team at Gaydio in Manchester, who love a lady with attitude when they hear one, it recently made the Top 40 on Music Week’s Club Chart, but we think this has all the hallmarks of a true genuine punter crossover track of the highest order and, with the right exposure through mainstream radio and TV, deserves to be bloody enormous. You go, girl.
