Little Fun
We say
18-year old Theo Altieri is a Swindon-based singer-songwriter and he and his three piece-band have recently played live alongside George Ezra and Babyshambles. This spunky little pop nugget (written and produced by Theo and mixed by Jake Gosling) was premiered by BBC Introducing last week and follows a limited 7” vinyl release last year titled Get Along. Citing influences like Beck and Arctic Monkeys, we even hear a Brimful Of Asha-esque rhythm guitar-hook that helps the whole thing brilliantly chug along. After recently signing a publishing deal with the mighty Warner/Chappell, Theo’s been named Best Unsigned Male Artist by our friends at Amazing Radio and is now longlisted for Glastonbury’s Emerging Talent Stage this June. Upcoming gigs include Mr Wolfs in Bristol this Thursday night (April 30) and next in London as support to Drew Helsinki from Babyshambles at The Shacklewell Arms in Dalston for their Club Fandango night on May 12. Infused with summertime sunshine vibes, this is top-notch power pop from a kid worth keeping tabs on.
