Georgia Buchanan is a 24-year-old singer-songwriter from Guildford and this intriguing debut from her points towards an artist who’s not afraid to describe honest and emotional personal feelings in her work. Flirting with electronic and R&B elements here, she creates a dreamlike soundscape for us to lose ourselves in and be carried along by the introspective mood of it. Georgia has spent the past 18 months defining her sound, working with other artists along the way including producer Two Inch Punch. Last year a track she wrote with hip south London duo DE$IGNATED appeared on the Sound You Need Vol.1 album spinoff from the popular YouTube/SoundCloud channel. That album reached the Top 3 on the US iTunes Electronic chart and she recently worked with Rui Da Silva on an original track titled All Her Gold, set to feature on her own debut album. After getting a good response via text and tweets following its first play through BBC Introducing in the South last month, this track hints at even more compelling work to come from her.
